Best Park City Ski House

Jim’s Favorites

When in Park City there are few things I highly recommend.

1.  Go Snowmobiling.   I know I love to ski and snowboard too.  But the Thousand Peaks snowmobile trip is like nothing you’ve ever done. Call them and ask about the “super bowl.”   You will be glad you did.    They can be reached at 888.304.SNOW or try their website www.thousandpeaks.com

2.  Ride the Olympic Bobsled run.  No, I am not kidding.   It’s not “like” a roller coaster, it’s bobsledding at 80 mph down the 2002 olympic track, in ride you will never forget.  Call 435.658.4200 for more information or visit www.olyparks.com

3.  Fly 250 feet in the air of the Nordic Ski Jump.  OK, now I am kidding.  But just watching them will be a site you’ll never forget.  Call (435) 658-4200 to find out what “Big Air” really is all about and ask about their weekly ski show.

4. Ski Deer Valley.  Voted America’s number one ski resort by reader’s of Ski Magazine, 8 out of the last 10 years, spending a day at Deer Valley should not be missed.  Call the Silver Star shuttle and have them take you for a day.  (435) 658-1570

5. Ski from my house all the way to Main Street for lunch at the Bridge Cafe. It’s a little taste of Switzerland where your skis aren’t just for fun, but for travel.  Who needs a ride, when you ski into town?

6. Try the homemade “Twix” bar at the Silver Star Grill.
