Late spring can be good. There aren’t a lot of people out because they’re all done with skiing for the year, but often times the snow will still be perfect.

Or January – there is usually heaps of snow, and crowds are low unless the hordes invade from Salt Lake City on a powder day. It is cold.

Generally a resort’s low season prices are there to attract people when the resort is not busy, so look for the low season deals. That is when the crowds are likely to be smaller.

Anytime during the season should be good if you go mid-week. If going on the weekends, early season (before Christmas) or late season (after March) should be good. The best snow is from January into March. My preference would be mid-week in February.

Christmas- great snow and the slopes are virtually empty.
Avoid New year and February half term!!!

I am a local and snowbird is my main resort. I do not suggest visiting in mid frebuary or almost any part of March, they are the most crowded ( same with the christmas season.) I suggest visiting in mid January, It is always the least crowded.

During the week when there are no school breaks the mountain is pretty open, even during the best months.
I would avoid the late spring in Utah as it gets kind of mushy out there when it warms up.

You might want to check out Powder Mountain if your looking for lots of space and gorgeous long powder runs. No frills but its awesome!
